A pair of bronze ormulu mounted first period French Empire chairs. C. 1810. A finely reupholstered pair with bronze mounted spread wing eagle legs.
Dimensions: 37 1/4” X 20” X 23 3/4”
Provenance: Purchased from The 1740 House Antiques in Charlottesville, VA May 13, 1982. Copy of original receipt included with sale.
Condition report: Some legs are appearing loose and need some tightening, small nails missing to hold ormulu to frame. Expected scratches to finish minor finish loss or chipping. Bottom front of lower back of chair has two bronze leafs missing for quite some time. An incredible example. Please see photograph preview or call.
