Jacot's 10 Tune Swiss Music Box. Patented 1885-1890. Switzerland. The box is most notable for the design of mallets in the form of insects with fine colored paint enameling. The box operates and plays except when handle is released charge becomes unwound and handle rapidly swings back. Repair needed. Drum covering has tear. Enamel work and mechanisms are very good.
