A WWII Veteran who began his art career drawing maps for intelligence during the war, Murray post WWII would become a criminal sketch artist for NYPD. During the 1970's and 80's his works became focused on people and places in the New York area especially Rockland Cty (New City, NY) where he resided. Selling the personal collection of his studio of works at auction January 5th, 2026 as part of his wife's estate.
