Dear Mr. Seaman,
This axe was used on board the Peary Arctic Club Steamer "Roosevelt" during the voyage when that ship for the second time in her history reached Cape Sheridan, Lat. 82.30 N. Also, the same voyage when Admiral Peary , U.S.N. , commanding the Expedition attained the North Pole, April 6th, 1909.
